Once again Katee Robert gives us an entertaining, swoonworthy read. I liked sassy Addison when we met her briefly in Seducing the Bridesmaid and I was intrigued by Brock’s older brother. I’m so glad that Katee decided to give us their story. I knew there had to be more to Caine McNeill than the older brother who got their father’s approval. The McNeill patriarch always sounded like such a jerk (actually this word is inadequate, but the right word would get my review banned), but that didn’t quite jive with the idea I had of Caine in my head. In this book we get to see how much of a jerk their father is and how great of a man Caine is. He’s trying so hard to make his father happy that until Addison waltzes into his world he doesn’t realize how much he’s actually giving up.Addison is a spitfire who lives her life selling the soul mate principle to the clients of her matchmaking service. She wholeheartedly believes, thanks to her grandmother, that everyone only gets one soul mate and she’s in Tennessee to help Caine find his. She goes so far as to even get the man a dog…that comes with four adorable puppies. I absolutely loved how Gollum and the puppies wove their way into Caine’s life despite his reluctance. But they had nothing on Addison. She steamrolled her way right into Caine’s world without realizing exactly what it would mean for her.
I absolutely loved watching these two try to fight what they had. Their chemistry was evident from the start. They both put up a valiant effort, but the pull between them was too much to ignore. I loved watching Caine change over the course of the book. I loved watching Addison realize that maybe she didn’t know everything about love despite her past.
This was a great read. I hated having to put it down and devoured it as quickly as I could. While this is a sort of sequel to Seducing the Bridesmaid (which is part of another series), you do not need to read Seducing to enjoy Meeting His Match.

Addison St. Claire is a matchmaker who is asked by her best friend to find her brother-in-law a match. She believes that there is only one soul mate for a person in a life-time and since hers has come and gone her desires in life regarding love and family can never come to fruition. She helps others find that elusive happiness that she cannot have for herself but when she comes face to face with Caine, the very sexy CEO, she finds herself feeling things that she shouldn’t, feelings that scare her for he’s not her soul mate but he is a man who does need help and she loves a challenge.
Caine McNeill is a workaholic CEO, the good son, always vying for the approval of his father and jealous of his brother’s ability to tell his father where to go. He is not a happy man though he is a successful businessman. When a matchmaker walks into his office, the gorgeous redhead whom he had found himself eying often at his brother’s wedding, he is thrown and decides to play along for a while just to get to know Addison.
This was an amusing and entertaining story that had me smiling often. It should really be titled “Meeting Her Match” for the story was most definitely about her accepting him as her match not her finding him someone else much as she tried. He had eyes only for her from moment one. I liked both main characters and you could feel the connection between them. I was glad there was an epilogue though I’ve never heard of such a party before. Loved the dogs in this story.
There were many things that I found unbelievable but it didn’t matter for it was just such a nice light enjoyable read with no angst but lots of drama, the kind of read you need from time to time so this reader gladly suspended her belief and just enjoyed the tale.
Take a successful matchmaker add an overworked CEO, a dash of best friend/sister-in-law mischief, a measure of cute dogs, shake and what do you get? Katee Robert's newest hit and my new book boyfriend in Meeting His Match.
This is the first in a new series and if it’s anything to go by, we are in for a treat with the subsequent books. I inhaled this book, I didn’t want to put it down. For me this means it’s a trademark Katee Robert book. I haven’t read one from this author that it hasn’t happened with.
Caine is my new favourite book boyfriend. If this couple were real I would have to fight Addison for him. Every time he uttered the word darlin’, I melted. I loved watching him change over the course of the book and come to the realisation that work is not everything. And when he sets his eyes on Addison. She doesn’t stand a chance.
“He was playing for keeps, and he had his eyes on her as the prize.”
Addison is just a powerhouse. She steamrolls herself into Caine’s life and while teaching him that to have a real life he needs more than work she ends up falling for her client. Thought she fights it tooth and nail which is both funny and heartbreaking to see unfold. I can’t forget to mention the adorable dogs who have the best names I have ever read that Addison brings in to help with Caine’s image. His reaction to the dogs and their names…..priceless.
“It didn’t matter what she felt physically though, Caine was destined for another woman. A good thing too, because he was obviously a handful.”
Though Addison is there to set Caine up with his perfect match or soul mate, watching these two fight the chemistry that flares between them and fall hard for each other was a delight. There’s just something about two people who are meant to be together and fight it with all they have that sucks me in and makes me not want to put the book down.
“Her orgasm hit her, sucking her under like a riptide and sending her hurtling into oblivion. “Caine”. “That’s right darlin’, I’ve got you. I always will.”
If you are new to this author or like me a huge fan, you will not be disappointed by this book. Katee Robert has another hit on her hands with this book. What a great way to kick off a new series and new imprint in Lovestruck.
